I'm Erika Uram, a REALTOR® and Seniors Real Estate Specialist with Keller Williams Realty East Valley. Across ten years and 190 closed transactions, I've worked with buyers and sellers all over the greater Phoenix metro: first-time buyers stretching to get into Chandler, families right-sizing out in Queen Creek, and longtime owners finally ready to hand off the house they raised their kids in.
The Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation is more than letters after my name. A lot of my work is helping seniors and their adult children through a move that carries decades of history with it, often on a timeline nobody chose. Sometimes the client is a daughter in another state trying to sort out a parent's house over the phone. That work taught me to slow down, explain something twice if it needs explaining twice, and keep a transaction steady when the stakes feel personal.

This Side of South Mountain
My office sits on Warner Road, which puts me a few minutes from the South Mountain trailheads on one side and the Loop 101 on the other. That is not an accident. The East Valley is where I work, and being able to get to Ahwatukee, Chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa or Queen Creek inside half an hour is part of how I do the job.
These six communities are genuinely different from one another, and buyers moving here from out of state almost never realize that at first. Ahwatukee feels tucked away behind the mountain. Chandler's downtown square has turned into a real evening destination while the Price Corridor keeps pulling in tech jobs. Tempe runs on Town Lake and ASU energy. Gilbert built a walkable Heritage District around a water tower. Mesa gives you Superstition Mountain views and more square footage per dollar than anywhere else on this list. Queen Creek still has olive groves and horse property.
Knowing the difference is most of what a local agent is actually for.
